This is a typical scene near the entrance of Ko Phanak's largest hong when the tide is at the right height for passing through the tunnel. Large boatloads of tourists arrive to kayak through the 200 meter long entrance tunnel and explore the double hong inside. Kayaks cannot get through the tunnel when the tide is either too high or too low. The tunnel is large enough to accommodate traffic in both directions. Many small bats live inside on the tunnel ceiling. The entrance is near 8°11.3'N, 98°29.7'E.
